Wet Warm-Up for Winfield Walnut Valley Festival

By the title of this blog, can you tell I like alliteration?

The Walnut Valley Festival is an acoustic music festival held in Winfield, Kansas the third weekend of September every year. It has become a tradition for my family over the past twenty years.

This year my brother-in-law, Paul Prather, got to come out for the Land Rush where all the campers high tail it for the camping spot they want. We got the area we wanted to camp in...but then the rains came in and flooded us out.

At this point in time the pre-fest camping is on hold, and the festival itself may be affected by the aftermath of the flood.

I'll post something next week on how it turns out.
